PGW employees recently rolled up their sleeves to plant nearly 300 trees with the Philadelphia Eagles through its Field Goal Forest program.

That’s a lot of trees. Did you know that mature trees can absorb roughly 48 pounds of CO2 a year, and in return release enough oxygen for two people? This program is yet another way we’re giving back to the community, and protecting the environment we all share.

The Field Goal Forest program is part of the Eagles’  “Go Green” initiative. For every field goal the Eagles make, 10 trees are planted in the Eagles Forest, and throughout Philadelphia. With help from Swoop and Eagles greats, Bill Bergey and Barrett Brooks, we got the job done.

We look forward to another winning season, more field goals and planting more trees!
