We work daily to prevent gas emergencies, but when emergencies occur we want first responders to be prepared.

PGW employees led a training session for responding to a natural gas emergency for Police Department cadets at the Philadelphia Fire Academy in September and October.

Manager of Training, Safety Development and Operator Qualifications Joseph Durante, General Supervisor of Training Richard Herbert, and General Supervisor of Operator Qualifications and Safety Administration Steve Kochis shared important safety information with the future police officers and trained volunteer firefighters how to respond to gas emergencies.

This training continues PGW’s efforts to share valuable knowledge with Philly’s first responders to ensure that the public stays safe and emergency personnel are ready to help during gas emergencies.
